I am a shredding guitar player that works with various musicians for backup. The 2nd and 4th Wednesday every month Geoffrey Lowe on Bass and Mark Ott on Drums help me rock the stage at B.L.U.E.S. 2519 N. Halsted in Chicago. On other gigs, I have many musicians who also have TONS of talent. On drums I have Greg Haar, Pookie Sticks, Cleo Cole, Joel Baer, Bobby Zoeller and Keith Fraizer (my buddy since high school). On bass I have Larry Williams (left handed extraordinaire) Ben Mason, an awesome young talent who continues to amaze me, Joe Sanchez, Frank, Brother Kay, Wally Hutchinson, Tydis and Aaron Whittier (an original Youngblood who is now at Berklee College of Music. He plays with me whenever he is home on break. His talent is endless!!!!). Any combination of these musicians makes an awesome band. One of the interesting things about seeing me play is that it will never be the same old thing over and over. I keep it fresh and entertaining. You never know who you will see playing with me. Myself, I live and breathe the guitar. Besides my band, here is a laundry list of SOME of the people I have shared a stage with or opened for over the years, Cheap Trick, Foreigner, Foghat, Traffic, Kansas, Head East. Survivor, Mr. Mister, Slash, The TRUE Band of Gypsy's Buddy Miles and Billy Cox (Jimi Hendrix's bass and drums), Eric Gales, Otis Rush, KoKo Taylor, Buddy Guy, Billy Branch and the Son of Blues, Melvin Taylor (he was my teacher), Junior Wells, Kenny Wayne Shepard and Johnny Lang, Ronnie and Lonnie Brooks, Bo Diddley, Freddie Jones Band, Gatemouth Brown, Howard Tate, Corey Stevens, Kinsey Report, Gary Hoey........ well, you get the idea. The beat and the list goes on. I have played in Poland, Japan, Canada, and all over these United States. I appeared on Showtime At the Apollo. I won the Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Competition Midwestern Division and took a trip to Seattle for the finals. Several Thousand people entered this contest and only 100 were chosen for the competition. From that 100 only 10 went on to Seattle. I was one of the 10. The picture of me with Al Hendrix (Jimi's Dad) is when he presented me with top prize in Chicago. I believe in playing with all my heart and soul whether it's for 2 people or 20,000 people. I hope you will agree when you come out and see me.
